True wisdom requires unlearning: moving from intellectual accumulation to direct perception, from ego to humility. We draw on Plato's Allegory of the Cave, the Upanishadic teaching of Shvetaketu, Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching, Socrates' acknowledgment of ignorance, and Rumi's teaching on self-knowledge as the mother of all knowledge.
