Our Mission
UEF facilitates the research and dissemination of ideas around human flourishing and religious literacy through published literature, dynamic social media content, partnerships with educators for school children, and events such as seminars and bootcamps. Our key insight is that we can truly flourish simply by engaging in our three deepest human longings – loving, learning, and playing in everything that we do.
Our Vision
Our goal is to enhance human flourishing by integrating knowledge across the silos of time, civilizations, geographies, and the academic disciplines of social and physical sciences, and by sharing actionable insights validated through science and lived experience.

Through Wisdom Traditions
Universal Enlightenment and Flourishing (UEF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to human flourishing and religious literacy. Our key insight is simple: to flourish is to love, learn, and play. These are our three deepest human longings, and real well-being arises when we engage them in everything we do, whatever our endowments or circumstances.
This insight is not new — it is ancient. Beneath their surface differences, the world’s religious and philosophical traditions share deep common ground, and all have pointed to it for millennia. Religious literacy is how we recover it: reading sacred stories, symbols, and practices with curiosity instead of fear, and discovering that wisdom traditions are bridges that unite us, stronger than the walls that divide us. Modern science now validates what the traditions have long taught, and UEF distills both into actionable insights for living with an LLP mindset.
