Introduction to Love Learn Play Series
As many of you know, the mission of my foundation, the Universal Enlightenment Forum, is built on two pillars: Religious Literacy and Human Flourishing. For the last four years, we have walked the path of religious literacy together, building a "Bridge" of understanding across the sacred threads from different religions that bind us. We have now explored 108 commonalities You can find those 108 letters archived here: Religious Literacy Or in my book “Bridges Across Humanity” Link here
Since you may have joined us late, you may have received fewer than 108. We have selected the top 25 commonalities in terms of highest responses and are listing these here. If you have missed anyone , please go through them
In Bridges Across Humanity, I explored a simple but often overlooked truth: that the world’s religions, despite their apparent differences, converge on a shared set of human values. Compassion, humility, curiosity, and joy appear again and again across traditions. These are not competing truths—they are converging insights. What we often experience as division is not rooted in the essence of religion, but in the narratives we construct around it. When seen clearly, religions are not walls that divide us, but bridges that unite us.
Today, we will cross that bridge together.
If our first journey was about understanding what we share, our next journey is about the "Park" on the other side: The Landscape of Human Flourishing. This is the space where wisdom isn’t just something we study—it’s something we breathe and practice to build a happier, more meaningful life.
To prepare for this, I spent my 60s at Harvard University, taking 40 courses across philosophy, psychology, sociobiology, and neuroscience. I know most of you do not have the time to sit through years of lectures or thousands of pages of research.
So, I have done that work for you. I have distilled the vast and often overwhelming literature and research on how to live well into something simple, practical, and usable in everyone’s daily life validated by my own lived experience and of those whose lives I have observed close and personal.
The result is my new book, recently published by Forbes: Love, Learn, Play: A Simple Formula for a Happier, More Meaningful Life.
Love — which anchors us in connection and compassion
Learn — which keeps us curious, humble, and alive
Play — which restores our joy, creativity, and sense of wonder
Don’t be fooled by the simplicity of this framework—it is as profound as it is accessible.
My Gift to You: I Will Be Your Guide
If life is a park, consider the Love, Learn, Play framework your guidebook. I’m here to be your tour guide, but I’m a guide who wants to hear from the visitors. I want to know what you discover on these paths, so we can make the journey even more meaningful for those who follow in our footsteps. I want to learn from what you see on these trails so we can carry that wisdom forward to others.
Over the next 52 weeks, I am offering you three ways to explore this park with me, entirely as my gift to you:
- The bi- Journey: We will walk through the book together—one idea at a time—via this newsletter. If you are already subscribed, you don’t need to do anything.
- The 60-Second Spark: Twice a week, I will share "wisdom reels"—short, actionable bursts inspired by insights from the book to help you reset your day in under a minute. [Follow the journey on Social Media UEFInsights].
- The Full Map: If you’d like to dive into the entire framework immediately, you can find the book (an Amazon Bestseller in five categories) here: Love Learn and Play.
You are welcome to choose one path, two, or all three. What matters most is that we continue this journey together.
I believe that flourishing is not determined by our circumstances, achievements, or endowments. It is shaped by how fully we choose to love, how deeply we remain open to learning, and how freely we allow ourselves to play.
This is our journey ahead. I am grateful to walk it with you.
