Lesson

Is Life Bigger Than We Think?

In this lesson we explore whether life extends beyond our visible world. Ancient Indian philosophies have taught the existence of multiple realms for thousands of years: Hinduism's 14 lokas (heavens, earth, and underworlds), Buddhism's six worlds of rebirth, and Jainism's varied planes of existence. Modern science through NASA's James Webb Telescope and multiverse theory now suggests similar possibilities, implying our actions carry consequences across dimensions we cannot yet see.

Lesson

How Religions Guide the Fight for Good and Justice

In this lesson we cover spiritual struggle across traditions. Islam's Jihad embraces two forms: the Greater Jihad (inner struggle against ego) and Lesser Jihad (outer defense of justice). We draw on Christianity's emphasis on conquering sin and temptation, Judaism's concept of milchemet mitzvah (justified war) and the inner battle against yetzer hara, Hinduism's Bhagavad Gita where the battlefield becomes spiritual awakening, and Taoism's approach of yielding with grace.

Lesson

Humility

In this lesson we cover humility as a cornerstone virtue across faiths. Humility stems from recognizing a higher power, fostering perspective, selflessness, and lifelong learning. We draw on Christianity's example of Jesus washing disciples' feet and the Beatitudes, Islam's daily prayers symbolizing submission to Allah, Judaism's Torah study and Proverbs on wisdom, Hinduism's Bhagavad Gita and Gandhi's selfless service, Buddhism's letting go of ego, and Confucianism's xue or continuous self-improvement.
