Donald E Frederick, Phd

Donald Frederick, PhD, is a writer, technologist, and human-flourishing researcher whose work bridges psychology, neuroscience, wisdom traditions, and practical education.

Donald Frederick, PhD, writes about human flourishing at the intersection of psychology, neuroscience, religion, wisdom traditions, and technology. His work explores how ancient insights and modern science can be translated into practical ways of living with more love, learning, and play. Donald was an early collaborator with UEF and helped shape the foundation’s thinking around Love, Learn, Play as a simple but serious framework for human flourishing. He previously worked with Harvard’s Program on Human Flourishing and has spent much of his career studying how people find meaning, build character, form relationships, and live fuller lives. At UEF, Donald writes on flourishing, AI, religion, neuroscience, culture, and the everyday practices that help people become more fully human. His work is guided by a simple question: what does it mean to live well, and how can we make that wisdom usable again?
