Taking play seriously
The Kindled Spirit Scholarly Society at Cambridge University brought together scholars at every level, from world authorities such as Douglas Hedley to undergraduates with high ambitions.
Together, they explored serious play, divine play, civil play, and more, searching for philosophical, theological, and sociological truths about play.
The society’s seminars brought people together to explore ideas through play. These recordings and photographs preserve moments from that community.
