Prophets and Solitude

In this course we cover solitude as spiritual transformation. Moses on Mount Sinai, Jesus in the wilderness, Muhammad in the cave of Hira, Buddha's six years of meditation, and Krishna's forest contemplation show how prophets connect with the divine through sacred isolation. We draw on Hebrew Bible, Christian, Islamic, Buddhist, and Hindu traditions.
