Allegory of Caves in Diverse Religious Traditions

In this course we cover illusion, ignorance, and the quest for truth. We draw on Plato's allegory of the cave and its parallels in Hinduism's Maya and the Hindu concept of neti neti, Buddhism's Sunyata or emptiness, and how Zoroastrianism and Abrahamic religions employ light and darkness as metaphors for knowledge.
