Harvard Divinity School Insights: Akhil Gupta on Religion and Human Flourishing

In this course we cover religion's role in human flourishing through Akhil Gupta's study of 108 commonalities across faiths and his vision for religious literacy. We draw on his exploration of how all religions address meaning-making, his discovery that prophets across traditions preach moral behavior, and his insight that the three fundamental human yearnings (to love, to learn, to play) anchor spiritual life.
